Easy Halloween Decor Ideas For Your Next Holiday Party From 5-Minute Crafts Tech

Halloween is one of the best holidays for decorating. You’ve likely seen giant skeletons, witches, and graveyard scenes as you walk or drive around your neighborhood. Perhaps you’re one of those people who go all out yourself, wearing ambitious costumes and putting up a creative ambiance.

Don’t fret if you’re not one of those people, though. There are plenty of easy Halloween decor ideas for your next holiday party. The good folks at TheSoul Publishing have put together a video on their 5-Minute Crafts Tech channel. The video features Halloween thought starters to get you going — plus the steps to create them at home. Here’s a look at some of the decorations you can find:

  • Create spooky lanterns to put either inside or outside of your home using a mason jar and a glow stick. Decorate your mason jar with markers, felt spiders, googly eyes…go wild! Then pour the glow stick liquid inside and light up your house or backyard. It’s like a way more impressive version of catching fireflies during summer nights.
  • Make some eerie candles that are safe for any Halloween gathering. Spray black paint on empty paper towel rolls and top them with flame tea light candle lamps. You can get even more crafty with some of the accouterments. Using a hot glue gun on the top edge of the rolls makes it look like wax is dripping down the sides. Then bring the candle with you as you tell frightful stories to your guests.
  • Concocting a few cocktails for the evening? Freeze Halloween trinkets in an ice tray and then add them to your drinks! Your guests won’t know what hit ’em, but it’ll sure be fun to watch their reactions.

The best part is that these are DIY Halloween decorations. You don’t need to be a professional designer or drop a ton of money on a ghoulish experience. We could all use some more treats like that.

And who knows? You just might discover a new living room design to keep the good times rolling after the holiday.
